i fucking hate losers like fuck for brain over there who's all "uhhh fuck hq fuck it with my maypole" who gives a shit. truth is most bands that play there are doing better than the beverly killbillies and the magoos. fair enough thats the spirit of old school, not to get quote unquote big, but who gives a shit, if youre in a band you want to do something with it by either making people happy, or making yourself happy, while maybe making a bit of extra cash on the side. who gives a shit tosser, go back to your fucking members only punk club and whinge about pop punk, coz thats all youre fucking good at, shitbag.

HQ sucks. Its Just A Shed With Shitty Sound. Nothing Beats A Pub Show. No No You Got Me All Wrong. I Ment As A Music Venue HQ is not very good. (As Quoted Above) I didnt mean what or who played there (even though it is all crappy pop punk) , just that it wasnt a great venue for music  And I Do Prefer Pubshows , So Deal. |

fair call. but the only good pub shows in perth are the rosemount and the amplifier/globe for punk/rock/alternative music. lookout is ok, but its too big and the soundguy knows as much about miking as he does the state of the west bank.
besides, hq is a small little stage, it doesnt compare with larger pub style places. thats why hq is good for little wangus pop bands like falling short.
it doesnt teach these bands much about playing on a larger scale, but it helps them tighten up, and helps them get a fanbase.
there is now way anyone can excuse hq because they think its small or has a shit pa or doesnt have punk enough crowds.
now go back to bagging bands, not venues.

so your saying to sell out? Id rather play the kind of music i like to listen to, maybe not make as many people like us but have a loyal following than be the next good charlotte and sell a million records a second. When we started the band we had the option to playing pop punk covers and getting gigs all around the town and shit. Id get booed off stage playing our own stuff which hasnt been comprimised by societys standards than play what everyone wants to hear that isnt what were all about.

hmmm i still agree that Ballpoint fuckn own , and i still listen to the Magnetik ep on a weekly basis but LYH are still good aswell. sure theyre pop punk but good pop punk at that. they r miles in front of other perth pp bands.
