This Is A Tough One For Me As Both Bands Are Great. I Think It Depends On The Mood Im In At The Time , If Im Feeling Rocky Id Take The DKM because they dont keep a straight up Punk Rock Sound And Add Some Irish Melody While When Im Feeling Ampt And Just Wanna Go Nuts Id Rip On The Mollys Grab A Beer And Just Go Nuts.
Both Bands Get Thumbs Up From Me
But In The End Ill Choose Mollys Because Only The fact That The Murphys Newer Stuff Hasnt Been As Soild

I haven't heard enough Flogging Molly to say I love em, but I'd go the Murphys any day, from the day I first heard them I was hooked. How could I not pick the murphys with my nick as it is  Coming from a background where floksongs like that were commonplace, it would be neigh on impossible for me to dislike it. I was holding out for them to cover Fields of Athenrye and was more than impressed with the results. I thought pretty highlyof blackout, it had a real folk feel to it and the songs seemed to carry notnotso much a story behind them,but almost folklore. What do we thinkof the Real Mckenzies? |

For me floggin molly are the go for a hard core sesh of drinkin and mosh style jiggin
but the dropkicks are wicked for a satday arvo drinkin mood sittin round and havin a bbq
but i gota go for floggin molly they just dont stop rockin and even there mellow cruzie shit, has wicked rythem. it just all goes off

I think they might actually be Canadian. I'mnot certain about that, I know they comefrom Scottish stock, but I've got real feeling they are from Vancouver.

I've gotta say FM i now proudly own all their albums besides their live one and i dunnu y i just really like the way the play the fact that they'd be punk if they didnt play irish and vica versa they just dont play mauch fast stuff(like slaty dog/drunken lullabies) not taht it matters but yeah
