i dont get it.
all of you people who like "old school", why are you against clean recordings. wouldnt you PREFER that to shit arse fucked up pops and clicks recording?
i mean honestly, how can you say that's "better" than a clean recording. surely if youre a good "old-school" band, youd record a really good clean, well made record, but just set your instrument tone to that of old school? wouldnt that be the way to go?
just set your guitars all the way to treble and the bass all the way to treble and crank up the cymbals and make the snare drum real loose and the snare really tight. all of that makes your instrument sound "cheap" and like old school sounding tone.
i mean, if youre going to pay for a recording, youd want it to at least sell, or at least be proud enough to show someone other than your friends. honestly.

no really, i'm asking a serious question.
why is "old school" music akin to bad recordings and frankly quite destructive tones.
and this isnt some debate about "whinge whinge old school is shit whinge i wuv nfg lol lol" so dont start on me like it's your obligation to defend something.

look. we did a fucking clean as recording. it sounds fucking wicked. not all us "old school" ( said in whiny bitch ass emo voise) people do that. the sound of it being crap is ment to symbolise that yes. they are poor and yes this is the best recording that we could get. when you go out and make that noise by "turning the bass up" or what not. thats just stupid. id bet you that us "old shool punks" (again said in whiney emo voice)would rather to do a flash wicked recording.

and second of all, what makes you think that youre any poorer than any other artist at your level? i.e. the high percentage of perth punk bands?

Not only that, but there 14-15, jobless and use 15watt amps. I'm pretty sure i've seen Falling short and other perth bands use amps such as Mesa and what not. I'd deffinatly say that mickey flash arn't up with the other bands money wise or equipment wise. Still they rock. ;D..except for byron |

There is no such thing as a local cashed up punk band. THey r all poor as fuck. Some of them have decent equipment because they have saved up money from laborious jobs.

we should release our ep as soon as we get some more mixing. i get of my ass and do the artwork and we get it released.
