"Frenzal Rhomb have gone bonkers - their new release, out this March, is
going to have the long term Rhomb fan jumping for joy. FOR THE TERM OF
THEIR UNNATURAL LIVES contains much too much of a good thing. More than
anyone could possibly deserve. Or want.
The new CD features all the hits they've been keeping from you for
years, including the band's first ever EP DICK SANDWICH. In it's
original form, it sparked reviews like this: "great songs but it sounds
like it was recorded under a doona". However, this version has been
lovingly restored by producer Phil McKellar (Grinspoon, Silverchair),
who has remixed the original masters to bring out more of the bloody and
offensive glory that launched Frenzal in the first place, and had them
banned from radio and retail back in the early 90s. DICK SANDWICH is a
true classic, including songs like CHEMOTHERAPY, RICHER THAN YOU, HOME
AND AWAY and the band's tribute to former Sydney newsreader (I wish I
was as credible as) ROGER CLIMPSON.
FOR THE TERM OF THEIR UNNATURAL LIVES also features Frenzal's first ever
album COUGHING UP A STORM, which has not been available for purchase in
several years, except to the most tenacious ebay consumer. This includes
the classic Rhomb hits KAAN KAANT (the band's ode to streetfighting),
GENIUS, FOUR LITRES, CONES and RUN. These songs brought Frenzal to early
international attention, when the Fattest man in history, Fat Mike from
NOFX, had a listen and declared Frenzal good enough for Fat Wreck
Chords, and therefore good enough for ALL OF PUNK ROCK AMERICA.
If this isn't enough, the band have pushed the limits of CD technology,
and stuffed the maximum possible amount of rare and hard to find gear
onto this disc, including great b sides, compilation tracks and other
drunken rantings, such as their first ever demos PHIL ("you only like me
when you're off your face"), If You Can't Live Without me WHY AREN'T YOU
DEAD, and the legendary Frenzal Rhomb tribute to Starship: WE BUILT THIS
CITY. Go forth and buy FOR THE TERM OF THEIR UNNATURAL LIVES at once!
And check them out on tour in March."
cant wait to see the boys play in March again, hopefully because this cd contains old tracks they will skip playing the new shit.
