hahaha, i woke up one morning and couldn't remember my boyfriend's name so i took to calling him byron, and he was all like 'who the fuck is byron?' and i was all 'that's you, babe,' and he was like 'no, i'm greg,' and i was like 'are you sure? you look like a byron.'

how the fuck do you just 'forget' someone's name. not only someone, but your boyfriend. im sure there was context there, but forgetting someones name is still pretty fucking wierd. not something that happens every day.

yeah, long-term.
and optimus, you're right, it is fucked up, but the context was i'd had a really whacked few weeks, the kind where just about everything goes wrong, so i had been forgetting just about everything and also, i had just woken up from a pretty crazy fucken nightmare. i know it sounds unlikely to forget the name of someone you love, but i was mentally hammered and it was only for a couple of minutes.

names suck. Some girl introduced herself to me yesterday and i completely missed her name but i didn't say 'pardon' or anything... just proceeded to introduce myself, and my friend goes 'what's her name?' and i said 'i have no idea'. Oh the greatness of not paying attention.

i once had an entire phone conversation with some girl that to this day i have no idea who it was.... i know it was a seldom spoken to friend, but i just figured i'd work it out then it got past the point where it would be acceptable to say, hold on just a sec... who are you?
