yeah, tantrum are good. I saw you guys play awhile ago, probably the highlight of that day. I think it was at the four times jimmy album launch.

i listened to a couple of songs and you guys sound friggin rad! well done fellas oh and to the dood who sed i was anti a coupla people on here...im not really anti-anybody, im very much a 'try and keep the peace' person , but i just think that all these bands do deserve a shiteload of respect coz they're all doing a sik job and im proud that Perth has so many talented local bands!! keep it up you guys! |

I reckon we should encourage all Perth bands in whichever genre we choose. We don't have to like everything and bands don't have to cater to everybody's preferences, that's what music is all about. Something for everyone.
Listen to what you want to listen to, like what you like, play what you want and give opinions; credit or constructive criticism where it's due.
All I have a problem with is the constant abuse of people for their different tastes, shouldn't we have left that in primary school?

correct. I may not like the music that four times jimmy make, but i'm happy for them because at least they're out there doing what they like and they're pretty successful at it.

The world would be a better place if everyone appreciate music for music. I mean I'm the first to admit, I don;t like "oldschool" or whatever you want to call it, however if it is played well I could appreciate it. I saw sin city (local pricks) with mach pelican and they were great, don;t like the songs at all but they were still good. As for the pop punk side, as long as a band can play their 4 or 5 chords in time, good for them. Once again, not my thing at all, but if its done well, its done well. End of Story.
There are a few bands I would mention who I think are standout in Perth in terms of originality, musicianship etc. but it would just add fuel to the fire.
Admin person, i reckon you do the scene a favour and lose any threads that reflect negatively on what is otherwise (internet aside) a healthy scene.

mickey flash played that mach pelican gig. i was so fucking hungover that day. AND paul hadnt set up the p.a so i had to do it. thats the reason the gig started late.
