not a fan of the the whole lets start a pop punk band but lets have something to make people think were original when in fact we sound just like all the other bands anyway approach
they dont do it for me

I think a better band with a violin is local band Snowman. Worth checking out. Horror Surf Rock.

Well, they've got a real unique sound to em, there's a bit of screaming, but not too much, some violin, but not over kill, and I think, there was a cello on stage once, or I was really really really drunk on tainted water and the violin grew in size..
But worth a look into.

bandits of the acoustic revolution are fucking awsome. They have guys from streetlight manifesto and catch 22. They are a 14 piece acoustic ska band. Its hard to call them ska when theres no electric upstrokes (or upstrokes at all) but its almost deffinately ska kind of music. They have a cello, french horn, piano and heaps of other wierd instruments. They use them amazingly though and everything fits in perfectly. Download their ep from www.acousticbandits.com |

i am pretty sure i heard this band being promoted on 92.9 or possibly nova. Which makes me think.... Yellowcard are the new simple plan . |
