I dont know what to say about Good Charlotte, admitadely I probably wouldnt be into punk if it wasnt for say Offspring, but Good Charlotte are raising a bunch of kids who think punk is about dressing a certain way and that punk will make you cool, all the chicks like punks and that you can still be punk and release poppy mainstream releases. Sure Offspring are these days just a puppet of the mind manipulating mainstream media, but when I was younger (14 what eva) I prefered offsprings non radio releases, and it was thru that band that I got listening to bands like Pennywise, Bad Relgion, who may not be the most hardcore punks, at least embody the ethics of positive defyence, idealism and righteouse anger!.
Good Charlotte have no ties to punk rock, just a concuction of the guys in suits who are only interrested in making money by exploiting the punk rock threat to mainstrea music, by turning it into a popular trend

Man, what were the Sex Pistols? The were nothing but a money making tool/puppet for Malcom McLarren, I'm not comparing the Sex Pistols to GC, well actually I am, but what I'm trying to say is, no one (well not many bar blackflag, crass and a couple of others) isn't in it for the money.
Punk died along time ago.

I'm not gonna defend good charlotte, i don't think they are anything special.... but they do get a lot of shit they dont deserve. they get a lot of praise from young rirls they dont deserve too, but what im saying is, if people want to shit all over them, at least do it over there music, not over their image.
they are as punk as anyone these days (meaning its all a crock of shit) so it shouldnt really matter the way they dress... soon enough people will get over it and start liking rap again.

 i don't know which is more annoying... the little girls who love good charlotte or the people making fun of them. People like them... get over it. I love good charlotte... yet i like the same bands as some of you guys. So don't generalise about people. I know i'm a hypocrite... but baaaaaah.

Im With Tony Here. The Fact is Isnt Totally About Them Being Punk Etc The Fact is: There just Not Very good , An Average Band Which Is Heavily Covered Up And Mastered In The Studios. Seriously They Just Arent That Good Period. There Selling Records On Image And Cool Factor  There Sonys Big Marketing Tool , And It Works.
