inspiration helps, every once in a while I will observe something that makes me feel sorry for the human race and punk rock is a good way to let that anger out!
another good thing to sing about is the ideals that you hold dear, that may be in short supply in todays society,
basically make sure you're comments and arguements are well justified, don't say I hate pop-punk cos it sux, explain why you feel so, don't say ur a dickhead, say ur an ingorant arsehole because you do this....
Alternatively you could just write poetic stuff, that might not have any literal meaning, but sounds deep and meaningfull, even though its just flowery language crap
